When we got engaged, Mat and I talked about what we'd want our wedding to look like, and we agreed not very wedding-y at all. No floral arrangements or centre pieces. No favours to be left behind at the end of the night. No first dances or garter tosses. No formal portraits or videographers. Just the things we love: time spent with friends and family, good food, good beer, and time together in the great outdoors.
So we came to the idea of the five week wedding (though at times it's been six weeks, three months, 100 days... five weeks is what we were able to squeeze in to life and school and work). Rather than inviting friends and family from near and far, we'd spend five weeks on the road and host dinners, BBQs and brunches with friends and family where they lived - or as close as we could get in the time we had.
And that's what we're doing. From August to September, we'll be wandering beaches, hiking mountains, camping in the Delica and enjoying the start of our married life with our fur baby in tow. In the midst of these adventures, we'll be celebrating with the people we love. We're looking forward to sharing this adventure with you.
